Monday

Dear Diary,

Today was hard. I love playing soccer. I love running fast and kicking the ball. But Mom says I need to study more. She says my grades are not good enough.

Soccer makes me happy.

After school, I had soccer practice. I scored a goal! My team cheered. But when I got home, Mom was not happy. She wants me to quit soccer.

Wednesday

Dear Diary,

I talked to Dad. He understands that I love soccer. He said I can still play if I study hard. He will help me with my homework. This makes me feel better.

I will try my best.

I studied for one hour after school. It was hard, but Dad helped. Maybe I can do both: play soccer and get good grades.

Friday

Dear Diary,

Today, I had a test. I felt ready because I studied. After the test, we had soccer practice. I felt happy and strong. I think I can balance soccer and school!

I told Mom about my test.

She smiled! She said she is proud of me for trying hard. Maybe she will come to my next game.

I hope so!

Saturday

Dear Diary,

Today was the big game. Mom and Dad came! I was so happy to see them. I played my best. We won! Mom cheered really loud. After the game, she said she was proud of me. She said she sees how happy soccer makes me.

This was the best day ever!

I love soccer, and now Mom does too!
