Thank You, Ms. Davis
Dear Ms. Davis,
I'm writing this letter because I wanted to properly thank you for everything you've done for me this year. I know sometimes I can be a bit of a handful, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding. You've made such a big difference in my life, and I wanted you to know that.
Before your class, I honestly didn't like English. I thought reading was boring, and writing was even worse. But you changed all of that. You made books come alive with your dramatic readings and insightful discussions. You showed us how to find our own voices in our writing, and you always encouraged us to express ourselves, even when it was messy or imperfect.
I especially loved the poetry unit. I never thought I could write a poem, but you gave us the tools and the confidence to try. I was so proud of the poem I wrote, and it wouldn't have been possible without your guidance. I'm also grateful for the extra help you gave me with my grammar. I know it wasn't easy, but you never gave up on me, and I'm finally starting to feel more confident in my writing.
But more than just teaching us English, you taught us important life lessons. You showed us the importance of kindness, empathy, and perseverance. You created a classroom environment where everyone felt safe to share their thoughts and ideas, and you always treated us with respect. You genuinely cared about each and every one of us, and that made all the difference.
I know this letter can't fully express how grateful I am for everything you've done. You're an amazing teacher, Ms. Davis, and I'm so lucky to have had you. I'll never forget your class, and I'll carry the lessons you taught me with me throughout my life. Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.
Sincerely, Sofia Rodriguez
