Privacy for learners
A short explanation for children, parents, and teachers using PicoBuddy activities.
You do not need your own email address, password, subscription, or payment details. A parent, teacher, or another authorized adult chooses and manages your activities.
PicoBuddy may save your profile label or nickname, the activities you complete, your answers, score, and when you finished. The adult who manages the activity can see this information.
A nickname or initials are enough. Do not type your full name, email, phone number, home address, passwords, health information, or other secrets into an activity or chat.
Sometimes Pico can read a story with you or respond to something you wrote — only if your grown-up switched that on for you. To write his reply, what you typed is sent to an AI service (Google Gemini); your name is replaced before it goes. Your grown-up can read everything you and Pico said, and can switch it off at any time.
Learner activities do not use advertising or marketing tracking, retargeting, social pixels, or third-party session replay. Minimal technical information may still be used to make the activity work and keep it secure.
Ask the adult who shared the activity. They can manage the learner profile or contact PicoBuddy to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
