[SCENE START]
Narrator: It was Thursday afternoon in Room 204. The final bell had rung twenty minutes ago, but four fifth graders were still huddled around a laboratory table. Resting between them was their proudest achievement: a miniature, solar-powered water filtration system. It had clear plastic tubes, two small bubbling reservoirs, and a gleaming cardboard trifold display board covered in colorful charts.
Elena: (Setting down a blue marker and admiring the display) Look at this trifold, team. It is a masterpiece. The diagrams are sharp, the lettering is hand-drawn in bold ink, and the glitter glue around the header catches the afternoon light perfectly. Because I designed the visual layout, it makes total sense that I should present it to the judges tomorrow.
