What Is the Best Thanksgiving Side Dish?

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday with lots of yummy food. People gather around the table to eat turkey and many side dishes. There are sweet pies, warm rolls, and green beans. But in my opinion, mashed potatoes are the best Thanksgiving side dish of all.
First, mashed potatoes taste amazing. They are warm, creamy, and soft to chew. You can add yellow butter and salt to make them taste even better. Every fluffy bite feels like a warm hug for your tummy.
Second, mashed potatoes are fun to eat. You can use your spoon to make a deep hole in the middle. Then you can pour brown gravy inside like a volcano. No other Thanksgiving side dish lets you play with your food like that!
Third, mashed potatoes go well with every other dish on your plate. You can mix them with sweet corn or eat them with turkey. Of course, every family likes different foods on Thanksgiving. Some people love cranberry sauce, and others prefer bread stuffing. Still, warm and buttery mashed potatoes will always be the star of the holiday meal!
