Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was a very special man. He was born in a small town in India called Rameswaram.
His family was very poor. Young Kalam worked hard to help them.
He sold newspapers after school. He loved to read and learn new things.
Kalam loved to look at the sky. He wanted to fly like the birds.
He went to school to learn about rockets. Soon, he became a great space scientist.
He helped build big rockets for his country. Everyone was very proud of his hard work.
Later, Kalam became the President of India. He was a kind leader who loved children.
He told kids to dream big dreams. People still remember his kind heart.
