Ilustración de Socrates: The Teacher of Questions

Socrates was a famous philosopher who lived over two thousand years ago in the ancient city of Athens, Greece. A philosopher is someone who loves wisdom and spends their life thinking about deep questions. Socrates is remembered today as one of the most important teachers in history.

Instead of just telling his students what to think or giving them the answers, Socrates did something different. He helped his students find the answers themselves by asking them a series of thoughtful questions. Each question made them think more deeply about their own ideas. Today, this helpful way of learning through questioning is known as the "Socratic Method."

Socrates believed that asking questions was the best path to true knowledge. He encouraged the people of Athens to think about what is fair, what is right, and how to be good citizens. He often said that the most important thing in life was to have a good character and to truly understand oneself.

Even though Socrates lived a very long time ago, his ideas are still alive today. Teachers in schools all over the world still use his method of asking questions to help their students learn and think for themselves.
