The Man Who Asked Questions: Socrates

Socrates was a very wise man who lived a long time ago in a country called Greece. He is famous for being an ancient teacher.

Unlike other teachers, Socrates did not just give his students the answers. Instead, he helped them find the answers on their own. He did this by asking them many questions. These questions made his students think deeply. Today, this way of learning by asking questions is called the Socratic Method.

Socrates believed that asking questions was the best way to learn. He wanted people to think about what is true and what is fair. He also believed that being a good and kind person was the most important thing in life. He told people to try to understand themselves.

Even though Socrates lived thousands of years ago, we still use his ideas today. Teachers still ask questions to help students learn, just like Socrates did!
