Pip was a small green dragon. He lived in a cave on a tall mountain.
His cave was cozy and warm. It had a bed made of soft hay.
Pip had a secret. He had a pile of gold coins.
The coins were bright and yellow. They sparkled in the light.
Every morning, Pip woke up. He went to his gold pile.
He used his tiny claws to count. "One, two, three," Pip said.
Pip loved his treasure. He polished every coin with a cloth.
He wanted them to shine like stars. He felt very proud of his hoard.
One day, Pip found something new. It was a golden bell stuck in the dirt.
Pip pulled and pulled. Finally, the bell came out.
The bell made a sweet sound. "Tinkle, tinkle!" it went.
Pip jumped for joy. He ran back to his cave as fast as he could.
He put the bell on top of his coins. It looked perfect there.
Now his treasure was even better. It was the best pile in the world.
Pip sat down by his pile. He felt happy and safe.
A baby dragon needs his gold. It makes the cave feel like home.
Suddenly, a small blue bird flew in. The bird looked at the shiny gold.
Pip did not want to hide his things. He wanted to show his new friend.
"Look at my bell," Pip said to the bird. The bird chirped a happy song.
Pip smiled a big dragon smile. He liked having a friend to visit.
He knew his gold was special. But sharing the sight was fun too.
Pip felt sleepy after his long day. He curled up on the soft hay.
He fell asleep by his shiny pile. He had sweet dreams of gold and bells.
