The Princess and Her Magic Friend

Princess Mia lived in a big stone castle. She had a shiny gold crown on her head.

Every morning, Mia went to the green woods. She looked for her best friend, Star.

Star was not a horse. Star was a bright white unicorn.

He had a silver horn that sparkled like a star. He had a mane that felt like soft silk.

"Hello, Star!" Mia said with a big smile. Star made a happy sound and ran to her.

They walked past the blue lake today. The water was very still and clear.

The sun was warm on their backs. They saw many pretty things in the woods.

Mia saw a small bird in a tall tree. The bird sang a sweet song to them.

Star touched a red flower with his nose. The flower began to glow very bright.

"That is magic!" Mia cried out. She patted Star on his soft neck.

Mia had a snack in her small bag. She gave Star a crunchy red apple.

Star ate the apple and wagged his tail. He liked the sweet fruit very much.

They played tag in the soft green grass. Mia ran fast, but Star was faster.

Mia felt very lucky to have a friend. A unicorn was the best friend of all.

The sky turned pink and orange soon. The sun was going down behind the hills.

It was time for Mia to go home. She had to eat her dinner in the hall.

"See you tomorrow," Mia whispered. Star bumped her hand with his wet nose.

Mia walked back to the big stone castle. The moon was high in the dark sky.

She climbed into her soft bed. She dreamed of magic horns and soft stars.

The princess and the unicorn were happy. They would play again when the sun came up.
