The Sun shines bright in the sky. Rain falls soft on the green grass.
One day, the Sun spoke to the Rain. "I am the most helpful to plants," said the Sun.
"My warm sunlight gives plants light to make food. Without my rays, plants cannot grow leaves or flowers."
The Rain tapped softly on the soil. "I am very helpful too," said the Rain.
"My water goes deep into the dirt. Plant roots drink my fresh water so they do not dry up."
The Sun beamed brightly. "I keep plants warm every day. I give them energy to grow tall."
The Rain dripped onto a green leaf. "I clean the leaves and give them liquid to stay strong."
A tiny green sprout looked up at the sky. "You both help me grow!" said the sprout.
"I need sunshine from the Sun to make my food. I need water from the Rain to drink."
The Sun and the Rain looked at each other. They smiled together.
"We are both important," said the Sun. "We make a great team!"
"Yes, we do," agreed the Rain. "Together, we help all plants stay happy and healthy."
Plants need light, water, air, and soil to live. Both the Sun and the Rain work to keep our world green.
