Leo got a new pet today. It was not a real dog.
It was a shiny silver robot dog. Leo named him Sparky.
Sparky had bright blue eyes that could light up. He did not bark.
Instead, he made soft beep sounds.
Leo pressed a button on Sparky's head. Sparky stood up on his four metal legs.
He wagged his little metal tail. The tail made a happy click-clack sound.
"Let us play fetch!" Leo said. He threw a small red ball across the room.
Sparky did not run like a real dog. He rolled fast on tiny wheels on his feet.
He picked up the ball with his magnetic mouth. He rolled back to Leo and dropped it.
"Good boy!" Leo laughed. He patted Sparky's smooth head.
Sparky did not need to eat dog food. When he was tired, he did not sleep in a dog bed.
Instead, Leo plugged Sparky into the wall. Sparky sat quiet and charged his battery.
His blue eyes went dark to rest. Leo sat next to his new friend.
The next morning, Sparky woke up. His eyes shined bright blue again.
He did a little dance on the rug. He did not shed any fur on the floor.
Leo's mom smiled at the clean room. "Sparky is a very good pet," she said.
Leo and Sparky played all day long. They were the best team.
