The Silly Island Adventure

Bongo the monkey lived on a silly island.

The sand was bright pink and very soft.

The trees did not grow green leaves.

Instead, they grew big yellow hats!

Bongo was very hungry today.

He looked up at a tall palm tree.

"Hello, tree," said Bongo.

The tree did not say anything. It just shook its hats.

A crab named Pip crawled by on the beach.

Pip was wearing a tiny blue bowtie and shiny shoes.

"Why are you wearing a bowtie?" asked Bongo.

"I am going to a funny party!" Pip said.

The party was under a giant pineapple house.

The pineapple house was singing a happy song.

"Can I come to the party?" Bongo asked his friend.

"Yes, but you must wear a hat," Pip told him.

Bongo jumped up high into the air.

He grabbed a bright yellow hat from the tree.

The hat fit his head just right.

He felt very fancy and ready to dance.

He saw a fish jump out of the sea.

The fish was blue and wore pink glasses.

The fish waved a fin at Bongo.

"Have a good time!" the fish called out.

Bongo waved back with a big smile.

He had never seen a fish in glasses before.

The singing pineapple gave Bongo a sweet treat.

It was a cupcake made of white clouds.

The cloud cupcake tasted like sweet honey.

Bongo felt very light and very bouncy.

He hopped over a rock that was laughing.

He skipped past a flower that could whistle.

The sun began to set over the blue sea.

The sky turned purple with big green dots.

Bongo and Pip danced together in the pink sand.

The funny island was a very happy place to live.

All things were silly and all things were bright.

Bongo loved his new yellow hat very much.

He was glad he lived on a funny island.

The trees kept singing as the moon came out.

Bongo went to sleep under the hat tree.

He dreamed of more cupcakes and singing fruit.
