A Purple Postcard from France
Dear Mom and Dad,
I am in France! We are visiting a very pretty place.
It is called the Valensole Plateau. Everything here is bright purple.
There are giant fields of lavender flowers. They go on as far as I can see.
The air smells so sweet and clean. It smells just like soap!
I can hear the happy bees buzzing. They love the purple flowers too.
We walked down the long rows. The dirt is warm under my shoes.
I took a picture of a big butterfly. Its wings were orange and black.
I bought a small bag of dried flowers. It will make my room smell nice at home.
I miss you both so much! I cannot wait to show you my pictures.
