Today is a very special day for Dad.

You can make him a nice breakfast.

First, find a big person to help you.

You should never use the kitchen alone.

Get your supplies ready on the table.

You need a plate, a bowl, and a spoon.

You also need bread, jam, and yogurt.

Maybe you can find some fresh fruit too.

Take two pieces of soft bread.

Put them inside the toaster.

Ask your helper to turn the toaster on.

Wait for the bread to turn golden brown.

When it pops up, it will be hot.

Let the grown-up take the toast out.

Put the toast on a pretty plate.

Use a spoon to spread sweet jam on top.

Now it is time for the yogurt.

Open the cup and pour it into the bowl.

You can add blue berries or red berries.

Sprinkle some crunchy cereal on top.

Find a tray to hold all the food.

Put the plate and the bowl on the tray.

You can add a cold glass of orange juice.

Do not fill it all the way to the top.

Check if the tray is too heavy.

Ask your helper to hold one side.

Walk very slowly to where Dad is.

Keep your eyes on the tray so nothing spills.

Do not forget to make a card.

Use your best markers to draw a heart.

Write your name at the bottom.

Put the card right next to the plate.

Give Dad a big hug and a smile.

Tell him you made this just for him.

Dad will think the food tastes great.

He will love his Father’s Day surprise.

When Dad is done eating, help clean up.

Take the dirty dishes back to the sink.

Wipe the crumbs off the table.

This will make your helper very happy too.

Cooking for others is a kind thing to do.

It shows Dad how much you care about him.
