The Lost Sword
A Diary Entry
Dear Diary,
Today was a very bad day. I, Arthur, King of Camelot, lost my sword! It wasn't Excalibur, my magic sword. It was just a normal sword.
I was riding through the forest with my brave knight, Sir Lancelot.
We were looking for a dragon! A small, silly dragon that was eating all the berries.
Sir Lancelot told funny jokes. I laughed a lot.
We stopped to eat lunch by a big tree. I put my sword down. We ate bread and cheese.
Then, we heard a noise! It was the little dragon! We jumped up. We forgot my sword!
We chased the dragon. It flew away. We looked for the sword. But we could not find it. Oh no!
Sir Lancelot said, “Don’t worry, Arthur! We will find it.”
I hope so! A king needs his sword. I will look again tomorrow.
Good night, King Arthur
