Audiovisual Club Term Handover

Subject: Audiovisual Club Handover: Equipment Inventory, Outstanding Tasks, and Key Pickup
To: Next Term Leadership Team (Marcus Rivera and Priya Patel) From: Jordan Bennett, Eighth Grade Audiovisual Club Coordinator Date: May 28, 2024
Dear Marcus and Priya,
Congratulations on being selected as the incoming co-directors for the Oak Creek Middle School Audiovisual Club. Serving in this role over the past school year has been one of the best experiences of my middle school career, but it also involves considerable responsibility. Because our crew handles technical production for morning announcements, drama department assemblies, and music concerts, a smooth transition between terms is essential. I am writing this handover note to give you a clear assessment of our equipment, outline pending tasks for the upcoming fall term, and explain the arrangement for transferring our storage room keys.
Current Equipment Status and Inventory Notes
Last Friday afternoon, our outgoing crew completed a full physical audit of the storage closet in the media center (Room 114). Overall, most of our core gear is in solid working condition, but there are a few important issues you should know about immediately:
- audit:
- A formal, thorough physical examination and count of all equipment or inventory in an area.
- lavalier:
- A small microphone that clips onto clothing, allowing a speaker to talk hands-free.
- continuity:
- An uninterrupted electrical connection along an audio cable or circuit.
- requisition:
- An official written request or application to obtain supplies or funds from an organization.
- soldering:
- The process of joining metal parts or electrical wires together using a melted filler metal.
- workflow:
- The sequence of steps or processes involved in completing a specific project or task.
- register:
- An official written record or logbook used to document transactions, items, or names.
