Charlotte is a big city in North Carolina. People call it the Queen City. It was named after a real queen from a long time ago. Today, Charlotte is full of parks, trees, and bright lights. Many new families move to this busy city every year.
Charlotte is very famous for its banks. Long ago, people started big money businesses here. Now, it is one of the biggest banking cities in the whole country. People work in tall buildings to help others save and spend money. These banks helped the city grow very fast.
Today, Charlotte keeps getting bigger and bigger. There are new trains, big sports teams, and fun places to visit. You can see tall glass towers next to green parks. Children love to play outdoors in the warm sun. Charlotte is a special home for many happy people.
