Kingston gripped the strap of his backpack tightly as he and his best friend, Braden, stepped through the grand glass doors of the arena in San Francisco. The vibrant atmosphere inside was electric. Music pumped through the speakers, and the aroma of buttery popcorn and roasted nuts drifted through the concourse. Both boys wore bright blue and gold jerseys, their eyes wide as they took in the towering posters of legendary basketball players lining the walls. They had entered an essay contest about youth sportsmanship months earlier, never truly imagining they would win passes to watch the Golden State Warriors host the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Braden, look at the court," Kingston whispered in disbelief as they walked down toward the lower bowl during early warmups. "It feels ten times bigger in person than it does on television."

Braden nodded, bouncing on his heels. "I can hear the squeak of their sneakers from all the way up here!"

An arena coordinator wearing a blue lanyard waved the boys toward the baseline railing, where a handful of fans stood watching warmups. Down on the polished hardwood, players were jogging through drills. Suddenly, a familiar figure trotted out from the tunnel, dribbling two basketballs at once with effortless precision. It was Steph Curry. The crowd near the railing erupted with cheers.
