Dino's Big Day Out

Dino's Big Day Out
Dino the dinosaur loved his home in the jungle. He liked to eat green leaves from the tall trees. He liked to splash in the cool river. But today was not like other days. Today was Dino's birthday! All his friends were getting ready for a party.
Dino’s friends were so loud! They roared and stomped and laughed. Dino did not like loud noises. He got a funny feeling in his tummy when things got too loud. "Oh no," he thought. "How will I enjoy my party?"
Then, Dino had an idea! He ran to the tall trees and picked big, soft leaves. He put one leaf over each ear. Now the loud sounds were softer. “That’s much better!” he said with a smile.
Dino went to his party. His friends were happy to see him. They ate berries and played games. Dino could hear his friends, but the leaves kept the sounds from being too loud. Dino laughed and played, too. He had the best birthday ever! He danced with his friends under the trees.
When it was time to go home, Dino’s friends asked about the leaves. Dino told them, “These are jungle ear-muffs! They help keep the sounds just right.” Dino’s friends wanted some, too. So Dino made jungle ear-muffs for all his friends. Now, everyone could enjoy the jungle noises together!
