Elliana and Aeowin vs. The Drama King

Elliana loved drawing. Aeowin loved telling stories. Together, they were the best of friends. They did everything together. One sunny afternoon, they decided to have a picnic in their favorite spot: the old oak tree in the park.

As they spread out their blanket, a boy stomped over. It was Dylan, but everyone called him Drama King because he loved making a fuss. "This is my spot!" he boomed, puffing out his chest.

"But... but we were here first," Elliana whispered, clutching her crayons.

"I don't care!" Drama King yelled. He kicked their blanket, sending sandwiches and juice boxes flying. Aeowin felt a surge of anger, but she also saw Elliana's eyes filling with tears. Aeowin knew they had to be smart. "Dylan," Aeowin said calmly, "We can share the spot. Elliana is really good at drawing, and I can tell you a story."

Drama King stopped stomping. He loved stories, especially ones with brave knights and dragons. "A story?" he asked, his voice a bit softer.

"Yes," Aeowin said, "A story about a knight who wasn't always brave, but learned to be kind."

Elliana, seeing her chance, grabbed a crayon and quickly sketched a picture of a friendly dragon. She showed it to Drama King. "See? Even dragons can be nice," she said softly.

Drama King looked at the drawing, then at the spilled sandwiches. He mumbled, "Sorry about your picnic." He even helped them pick up the mess. Aeowin started telling her story, and Elliana continued to draw. Soon, the three of them were laughing and sharing crayons. Drama King even added his own ideas to Aeowin's story.

From that day on, Drama King wasn't so dramatic anymore. He learned that being kind was much more fun than being a bully. And Elliana and Aeowin learned that even the toughest problems can be solved with friendship and a little bit of creativity.
