Your Day-Trip Itinerary
9:00 AM – Witness Pōhutu Geyser at Te Puia Start your morning at Te Puia in the Whakarewarewa Valley. This area is famous for its incredible geothermal activity.
- Walk along the designated wooden boardwalks toward the viewing platforms.
- Wait for Pōhutu Geyser to erupt. Pōhutu means "big splash" in the Māori language. It erupts once or twice every hour, spraying hot water up to 30 meters (100 feet) into the air!
