Many people visit the park every year to walk outside. It is a fun place to see nature.
The park has very tall rock walls. These rock walls are made of soft sand rock.
Water cut through the rock long ago. This made deep canyons in the ground.
In the spring, water flows over the high rocks. This makes pretty waterfalls that splash down into the canyons.
There are many wooden trails for people to walk on. These hiking trails lead to high places above the river.
You can look out and see green trees and bald eagles. Starved Rock State Park is a great place to explore.
