Exploring the Pacific Coast

Discovering the Pacific Coast
The Pacific Coast is a beautiful and diverse region in the western part of North America. It stretches from the state of California all the way up to Alaska, and it's known for its stunning natural features. Let's take a closer look!
Coastal Landscape
The landscape of the Pacific Coast is truly amazing. Imagine tall, rocky cliffs that drop straight into the ocean! There are also long, sandy beaches where you can walk and play. The terrain varies quite a bit; in some places, you'll find dense forests right next to the shoreline, while other areas are more open and grassy. The mountains often rise steeply from the coast, creating breathtaking views.
Marine Life
The ocean along the Pacific Coast is full of life! Many different kinds of marine animals call this place home. You might see gray whales migrating along the coast, or playful sea otters swimming in the kelp forests. The tide pools, which are small pools of water left behind when the tide goes out, are filled with colorful starfish, sea urchins, and other small creatures. Fishing is a popular activity, with salmon, halibut, and rockfish being common catches.
