Flicker's Lost Feather

Flicker's Lost Feather
Flicker was a small bird with bright orange feathers. He loved to fly! One sunny morning, Flicker was soaring high above the rocks. He felt the wind beneath his wings.
Suddenly, Flicker felt something strange. He looked down and saw a feather floating away! "Oh no!" he chirped. "My favorite feather!"
The feather danced in the air like a tiny leaf. Flicker tried to catch it, but the wind was too strong. He watched as it drifted further and further away.
Flicker landed on a rock, feeling sad. He missed his feather. It helped him fly so fast! A little ladybug crawled by. "What's wrong, Flicker?" she asked.
"I lost a feather," Flicker said. "It was my best one!"
The ladybug smiled. "Don't worry!" she said. "You can still fly. And new feathers will grow!"
Flicker thought about what the ladybug said. She was right! He took a deep breath and jumped into the air. He flapped his wings. He soared and twirled. It was still fun to fly, even without his special feather!
Flicker learned that even when you lose something, you can still be happy. And sometimes, losing something can lead to new adventures!
