Fred is a small green frog. He has big round eyes.

Fred lives in a green park. He likes to jump and hop.

One day, Fred went for a walk. He hopped over a small rock.

He hopped over a long stick. Fred was looking for a snack.

He saw a yellow fly. The fly was very fast.

Fred tried to catch it. He used his long tongue.

The fly flew up high. The fly flew behind a tree.

Fred sat on the soft mud. He saw his friend, Bella.

Bella is a big brown toad. "Hello, Fred," Bella said.

"Are you hungry?" Bella asked. Fred nodded his head.

They went to the deep water. They saw many green leaves.

The leaves were on the water. They are called lily pads.

Fred jumped on a big pad. Splash! The water went up.

Bella jumped on a small pad. The sun was very warm.

They saw a dragon fly. It had blue wings.

The dragon fly sat on a flower. Fred and Bella watched it.

"This is a good day," Fred said. He felt very happy.

He sang a little song. "Ribbit, ribbit," Fred sang.

Bella sang along with him. "Croak, croak," Bella sang.

They sat in the sun for a long time. The park was very quiet.

Fred saw a splash in the pond. It was a small fish.

The fish was gold and bright. It swam past the green lily pads.

Fred wanted to swim too. He dived into the cool water.

He used his back legs to kick. He moved fast through the pond.

Fred saw a big white bird. The bird had a long yellow beak.

The bird stood very still. Fred stayed very still too.

He did not want the bird to see him. The bird flew away to the trees.

Fred felt safe again. He looked for more bugs.

He found a small ant. The ant was on a pink flower.

Fred did not eat the ant. He wanted to be nice today.

He just watched the ant walk. He was a very kind frog.

Bella called to him from the grass. It was time to go home.

Fred swam back to the shore. He was tired from his swim.

He found a spot under a bush. The grass was soft and cool.

Fred closed his big eyes. He went to sleep in the park.

It was a very good day for a frog.
