Get ready to express your creativity, style, and imagination! The Oakridge Community Center is thrilled to announce our upcoming Annual Crazy Hair Day, taking place next Sunday! Whether you want to spike your hair sky-high, transform your curls into a colorful bird's nest, or wear wild accessories, this is your chance to show off your wildest hair creations.
Event Details:
- Date: Next Sunday, October 15th
- Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Location: Oakridge Community Center Main Gymnasium
- Who Can Join: Open to all elementary students, siblings, and family members!
How to Participate:
- Design Your Style: Use temporary hair color sprays, wash-out hair gel, ribbons, pipe cleaners, or fun headbands. Let your imagination run wild!
- Safety First: Please ensure all hair products are non-toxic, temporary, and safe for sensitive skin. Avoid using permanent dyes, heavy glass objects, or sharp items in your hair construction.
- Show Off Your Hair: Arrive with your finished style ready to walk down our Crazy Hair Runway during the grand parade at 2:00 PM.
Contest Categories & Prizes: Our panel of guest judges will award ribbons for several fun categories:
- The Sky-High Award: For the most impressive vertical hairstyle.
- The Rainbow Explosion: For the best and brightest use of color.
- Most Creative Concept: For unique themes, such as animal shapes, sports designs, or food creations.
- Dynamic Duo Award: For siblings or friends with matching crazy styles.
Extra Activities: In addition to the main showcase, enjoy face painting, a photo booth with fun props, and interactive party games throughout the afternoon. Wash-out hair gel stations will also be available near the entrance for last-minute styling touch-ups!
Admission: Admission is completely free! Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting our local youth art programs.
