Halloween in the Valley

It was Halloween night in the leafy green valley. Barnaby the green dinosaur was very excited. His best friend, Pip, hopped up and down on the soft grass. Tonight was the night to wear costumes and go trick-or-treating!
First, the two friends had to make their costumes. Barnaby found a huge white sheet in his closet. He asked his mom to help cut two big round holes for his eyes. Barnaby threw the sheet over his head and yelled, "Boo!" He was a giant, friendly ghost.
Next, Pip found a bright red towel. He tied it around his neck like a superhero cape. Pip ran around in a circle, pretending to fly. Both dinosaurs grabbed their sturdy orange buckets and stepped outside into the cool night air.
Orange pumpkins glowed along the stone path. Friendly bats flew softly through the purple sky. Barnaby and Pip walked together toward their first stop. It was the tall, cozy cave of Mrs. Longneck.
Barnaby tapped gently on the wooden door with his claw. When the door opened, both friends shouted, "Trick or treat!" Barnaby was so happy that his tail began to wag back and forth. His wagging tail accidentally bumped a small pumpkin, and his white sheet slipped down to his chin!
