Henrietta's Big Day

Henrietta's Big Day
Henrietta the hen woke up with a start. Today was the day! Not just any day, but the day of the annual Farmyard Talent Show. Henrietta wasn't planning to sing or dance. Oh no, Henrietta had a very special talent. She could lay the most perfectly round, most perfectly brown egg in the whole wide world. All the other animals were showing off their skills. Clementine the cow could moo the loudest. Gus the goose could honk the highest. But Henrietta knew her talent was unique. She ate her breakfast of corn and seeds, preparing herself for the big moment. As she walked towards the stage, she puffed out her chest, ready to show everyone what she could do. With a deep breath, Henrietta settled down in her special nesting box and began to concentrate.
