How to Make a Paper Countdown Chain
Do you have a special day coming up? You can make a paper chain to count down the days!
Each day, you will take off one link.
When the chain is gone, your big day is here!
Things You Need:

Colorful construction paper
-
A glue stick
-
Child-safe scissors
-
An adult to help you
Step 1:
Count how many days are left until your special day.
You will need one paper strip for each day.
Step 2:
Ask an adult to help you draw straight lines on your paper.
Use your scissors to cut along the lines to make long strips.
Step 3:
Take your first paper strip.
Bend it into a circle and glue the two ends together.
Hold the ends tight for five seconds so the glue sticks!
Step 4:
Slide a new paper strip through your first paper circle.
Glue the ends of this new strip together to make a second link.
Step 5:
Keep adding paper strips one by one.
Your chain will grow longer and longer!
Step 6:
Ask an adult to help you hang your chain on a wall.
Pull off one paper link every morning and count down the fun!
