A thankful chain is a fun craft to make. It shows things that make you happy.
You can make this craft with your class or family. It is bright and colorful.
Materials You Need:
- Strips of colored paper
- Crayons or markers
- Tape or a glue stick
- Scissors
Step 1: Think of Good Things Think about things that bring you joy. You can think of sunny days, pets, books, or tasty snacks.
You only need to share simple things that make you smile. Keep any private thoughts to yourself if you want.
Step 2: Draw or Write Take one strip of paper. Write a word or draw a picture on it.
You can draw a smiling sun or a flower. Use bright colors to make it stand out.
Step 3: Make the First Ring Bend the strip of paper into a ring. Overlap the two ends.
Use tape or glue to hold the ends together. Now you have your first paper link!
Step 4: Add More Links Slide a new paper strip through the first ring. Bend the new strip into a circle.
Glue or tape the ends together. Now your chain has two links!
Step 5: Grow Your Chain Keep adding more strips of paper. Always ask an adult for help if you need to cut more strips with scissors.
Hang your chain on the wall to see all the happy things!
