Important Schedule Adjustments for the Annual Grade 8 Innovation Showcase

Attention all eighth-grade inventors, project partners, and family volunteers: due to an unexpected municipal water main repair affecting the South Gymnasium wing this Friday morning, Oakridge Middle School must adjust the timeline and layout for our Annual Grade 8 Innovation Showcase. Please read this bulletin thoroughly. The event will still occur on Friday, April 18, but all participants must follow the revised arrival, staging, and presentation guidelines below.
Relocation of Project Spaces
Because the South Gym will be closed to all foot traffic until noon, the showcase is moving entirely into the North Commons, the Library Annex, and the adjoining Technology Hallway.
- Robotics, Coding, and Automation Teams (Stations 1β24): Report directly to the North Commons. Tables will be arranged along the perimeter wall where heavy-duty electrical outlets are accessible.
- Environmental Design and Applied Science Teams (Stations 25β48): Report to the Library Annex. Tables will be arranged in open clusters to accommodate three-dimensional models and soil or water filtration displays.
- Consumer Products and Architectural Models (Stations 49β70): Report to the Technology Hallway. Tri-fold display boards and tabletop prototypes will be stationed along the east wall display counters.
