Leo and the Magic Shell

Leo walked on the warm sand. The sun was hot. The waves were small.
He saw a blue shell in the wet sand. The shell had gold dots. It was very pretty.
Leo picked up the shell. He held it to his ear.
He heard a little voice. "Hello!" said the voice.
Leo looked down. He saw a little green crab. The crab waved its claw.
"I am Pip," said the crab.
"Can you talk?" Leo asked.
"This is a magic shell," Pip said. "It helps you hear us."
Leo smiled. He felt happy.
A white bird flew down. "I am hungry," said the bird. "Where are the fish?"
Leo pointed to the water. "The fish are there," he said.
The bird said thank you and flew away.
Then a big blue dolphin jumped up. "Come play!" said the dolphin.
Leo could not swim far. But he could talk to the dolphin.
The dolphin told a funny joke. Leo laughed.
The sun went down. The sky was pink and gold.
Leo had to go home for dinner. He put the shell in his bag.
"Goodbye, friends!" Leo called.
He knew he would come back. The ocean was full of friends.
