Leo's Ride in the Sky
Leo stepped into the big cable car. It was bright red and shiny.
The doors closed with a soft click. The car went up, up, up into the sky.
"Look down, Leo!" said Mom. The blue sea was far below them.
They could see big ships in the water. They were flying to Sentosa Island.
"Is it just for play?" Leo asked. He saw a big water slide.
"Now it is," Mom said with a smile. "But long ago, it was very different."
Mom pointed to an old green hill. "A long time ago, it was a military fort," she said.
"Soldiers stayed there to guard the land. They had big guns to protect the sea."
Leo looked at the green trees. He tried to see the old fort.
"So it was a safe place?" Leo asked. "Yes, it was," Mom said.
The cable car began to go down. It tapped the ground with a soft bump.
"Now, the fort is a cool museum," Mom said. "And the island is full of joy and games."
Leo ran out of the cable car. He was ready to explore the sunny island.
