Lily the Lifeguard
Lily loves to swim! She loves the water. She loves the sun. That is why she wants to be a lifeguard. A lifeguard helps people at the pool or beach.
Lily goes to lifeguard school. She learns how to swim very fast. She learns how to help people who need help in the water. She learns about first aid. First aid helps people feel better when they are hurt.
At the pool, Lily wears a red swimsuit. She has a whistle. She watches all the people. She makes sure everyone is safe. She tells kids not to run by the pool. Running is not safe.
One day, a little boy falls down. He hurts his knee. Lily runs over to help. She cleans his knee. She puts a bandage on it. The boy stops crying. He says, "Thank you, Lily!" Lily smiles. She is happy to help. She loves being a lifeguard because she helps people stay safe and have fun in the water.
