My Summer Adventure

July 1, 2024

Dear Diary,

Today was so exciting! Grandma came to visit. She brought a big box from her attic.

We opened it together. Inside, there were old books and photos.

And then, I found it! A small, folded piece of paper. It said, "Grandma Rose's Secret Lemonade Recipe."

July 2, 2024

I asked Grandma about the recipe. She smiled and said it was her grandma's! She used to have a lemonade stand when she was little.

I told Grandma I want to make lemonade too! She said she would help me.

We are going to open my own lemonade stand! I'm going to call it "Lily's Lemonade."

Today we made the lemonade. It smells so lemony and sweet! Grandma showed me how to squeeze the lemons.

We mixed it with water and sugar. I think it's the best lemonade ever!

Dad helped me build the stand. It's so colorful, with yellow and pink stripes.

Today was the grand opening! I was so nervous. But then, people started coming!

They bought my lemonade. Everyone said it was yummy.

I made five dollars! I am saving it to buy a toy.

This is the best summer ever!

Love, Lily
