Subject: Urgent: Missing Dog - Please Help!
Dear Neighbors,
I'm writing to you today with a heavy heart. My dog, Gus, has gone missing, and I'm asking for your help in bringing him home.
Gus is a medium-sized golden retriever mix with a distinctive white patch on his chest. He was last seen around 4 PM yesterday near the community park, where we often go for walks. He was wearing a blue collar with a tag that has my phone number on it. However, the clasp isn't very tight, and the collar may have come off.
Gus isn't just a pet; he's a member of our family. He's been with us for eight years, and his absence has left a huge hole in our lives. My younger brother, especially, is heartbroken. Gus is his best friend and constant companion.
He's usually very friendly and approachable, but he might be a bit scared if he's lost. If you see him, please try to keep him in sight and call me immediately at 555-1212. Even if you just think you might have seen him, any information would be greatly appreciated.
We've already searched the park and surrounding streets, but no luck so far. We're putting up posters with his picture, but I wanted to reach out to you all directly as well. Please check your yards, sheds, and any other places where he might have wandered.
Thank you so much for your time and attention. Any help you can offer would mean the world to us.
Sincerely,
Emma Thompson
