Maya hopped onto a bright red boat with her grandpa. They were ready to explore the big city of London.
The boat moved gently down the River Thames. Cool water splashed as the boat glided along.
"Look over there!" Grandpa said with a smile. He pointed to a giant stone bridge with two tall towers.
"That is Tower Bridge," Grandpa explained. Maya waved at the people walking high above.
Next, the boat turned a wide corner on the river. Maya saw a very tall clock tower reaching into the blue sky.
"Is that Big Ben?" Maya asked. Grandpa nodded and said the tower was named Elizabeth Tower.
The giant golden clock shone in the warm sun. Maya heard the deep bell ring out across the water.
Bong! Bong! Bong! went the giant bell. Maya clapped her hands with joy.
It was a wonderful day on the river. Maya could not wait to see what they would find next.
