Mia's High-Flying Rescue

Mia had a very big dream.
She wanted to fly a real rescue helicopter.
Mia had a small toy helicopter.
It was bright blue and orange.
She loved to make the toy blades spin.
Whir, whir, whir! went the chopper.
Today, there was a big storm in her living room.
The blue rug was a wild, stormy sea.
Mia saw her stuffed bear on the sofa.
"Help! Help!" the bear seemed to cry.
Mia held her toy helicopter high in the air.
She flew it over the deep rug sea.
"Hold on, Bear!" Mia called out.
She made the helicopter stay in one spot.
She let down a little green string.
She tied the string around the brown bear.
Then, she lifted him up to safety.
"You are safe now, Bear," Mia said with a smile.
Next, a toy dog was stuck on a tall kitchen chair.
The big wooden chair was a steep mountain.
Mia flew her helicopter up, up, up.
The wind from the blades blew her hair back.
She landed very gently on the flat chair.
The little dog hopped inside the toy.
Mia flew the dog back down to the floor.
"Good job, team!" Mia cheered.
Her mother walked into the room and smiled.
"You are a great pilot, Mia," she said.
Mia hugged her toy chopper close.
One day, she would fly a real helicopter.
She would help save lives every single day.
