Milo's Big Wish

Milo the Moon lived high in the sky. He loved watching Earth. He saw kids playing and birds flying. "I wish I could visit Earth for just one day!" he said. He felt sad and lonely up in space.

One night, a shooting star zoomed by. "I can help you!" it twinkled. With a flash, Milo was on Earth!

Earth Day!

Milo landed in a big green field. He saw flowers of every color. Bees buzzed around them. He smelled fresh grass. He saw fluffy sheep eating the grass. Milo laughed. Everything was so new and exciting.

Some children saw Milo. "Wow! A moon rock!" one child said. Milo smiled. He played with them. They rolled him around like a ball. Milo had never had so much fun.

Back to the Sky

But then, Milo started to feel weak. He needed his home in the sky. The shooting star zipped back. "Time to go back, Milo!" it said. With another flash, Milo was back in space.

Milo looked down at Earth. He missed the games and the smells. But then, he saw something amazing. All the people on Earth were looking up at him! They needed his light. Milo wasn't lonely anymore. He was happy to be the Moon, shining brightly for everyone.
