Today the big games start!
Our city is so bright and busy.
I see colorful flags on every street.
People wear bright red and blue shirts.
Everyone is smiling and singing happy songs.
I wear my favorite soccer jersey today.

We went to the big park today.
There is a giant screen to watch the game.
We watched the players kick the ball.
The crowd went wild when they scored a goal!
I ate a sweet treat shaped like a soccer ball.
I love this fun soccer week so much.

I played soccer with new friends today.
They are from a country far away.
We do not speak the same words.
But we all love to play the game.
We kicked the ball and laughed a lot.
This is the best summer ever.
