Dear Grandma,

I am on a big walk. We are at Abel Tasman.

It is a beautiful place. We walk on a long path.

The sand here is bright gold. It feels warm on my feet.

I see big green ferns. They look like giant feathers.

They grow next to the trail. They keep us cool in the shade.

Today, I saw some fur seals. They were playing on the wet rocks.

One baby seal did a splash. It looked at me and made a funny noise.

I love this sunny beach. I will bring you a pretty shell.

Love, Leo
