Puppet Day with Mr. Rivera

Dear Mr. Rivera,
We are so happy you can visit Room 4 this Friday! Our class is getting ready for Puppet Day. We want to tell you about our plans so you know what we have done.
First, our teacher, Mrs. Lopez, gave each of us a plain brown paper bag. We used yarn for fuzzy hair. We glued plastic buttons on the bags for eyes. Some kids added big paper ears or silly noses. All the puppets are dry now. They are sitting in neat rows on the back shelf, waiting for Friday morning.
Next, our class made a small puppet stage. We used a big cardboard box from the office. Maya and Leo painted bright yellow stars all over the front. There is a blue curtain that hangs down so we can hide our hands.
When you come at ten o'clock, we will need your help with the funny voices! We are practicing our short animal plays. Sometimes we forget to speak loudly, so you can help us practice our lines. You can also help us hold the stage steady so it does not tip over when we move.
Thank you for helping our class. We can hardly wait to show you our puppets!
