Sir Reginald and Thomas

Sir Reginald and Thomas
Sir Reginald was a brave knight. He had shiny armor and a big sword. He lived in a tall castle. Thomas was a farmer boy. He lived in a small house near the castle. He grew yummy vegetables.
One sunny day, Sir Reginald was riding his horse. He saw Thomas working in his garden. Sir Reginald stopped. “Hello!” he called. Thomas looked up, surprised to see a knight.
“Hello, Sir Knight,” Thomas said.
“Please, call me Reginald,” said the knight. “What are you doing?”
“I am growing food for my family,” Thomas said. “Would you like a carrot?”
Sir Reginald had never eaten a carrot from a garden. He took the carrot. He took a bite. “Mmm, this is very good!” he said.
From that day on, Sir Reginald and Thomas became friends. Sir Reginald would visit Thomas in his garden. Thomas would give Sir Reginald carrots and apples. They would talk and laugh. The knight and the farmer boy were best friends.
One day, a big storm came. The wind blew hard. The rain fell down. Thomas’s house was damaged. Sir Reginald saw the storm from his castle. He rode his horse to Thomas’s house.
“Thomas, are you okay?” Sir Reginald asked.
“My house is broken,” Thomas said, sadly.
Sir Reginald helped Thomas fix his house. He used his strong arms to lift heavy wood. Thomas helped too. Together, they made the house strong again. Thomas was happy.
Sir Reginald and Thomas learned that friends help each other. They were different, but they cared about each other. Their friendship was stronger than any storm.
