Spot the Changes: A Drawing Game for Two

Do you love to draw and solve puzzles? In this fun art game, you and a partner take turns testing your eyes. One player draws a picture with three hidden changes, and the other player tries to find them all!
Materials You Need
- Two sheets of blank paper
- Pencils
- Colored pencils or crayons
- One tall folder or book to use as a screen
Step 1: Set Up Your Space
Sit across from your partner at a clean desk or table. Stand your folder upright between you. This screen keeps your drawings a secret while you work.
Step 2: Draw the First Picture
Decide who goes first. Player 1 will be the artist, and Player 2 will be the detective.
Player 1 folds a sheet of paper in half, then opens it flat. On the left side, draw one simple picture with a pencil. You can draw a boat on water, a house with a yard, or a funny animal. Keep the shapes simple so it is easy to copy.
Step 3: Make Three Secret Changes
Next, Player 1 copies the exact same drawing on the right side of the paper. However, you must make exactly three small changes!
- partner:
- A person who plays a game or does an activity with you.
- upright:
- Standing straight up rather than lying flat.
- detective:
- A person who looks closely to solve a puzzle or mystery.
- difference:
- Something that is not the same when comparing two things.
- clue:
- A hint that helps someone find an answer or solve a puzzle.
