Stephen Curry: The Shooter Who Changed the Game
Stephen Curry is one of the most famous basketball players in the world today. Many people call him "Steph." He is known for his amazing ability to shoot the ball from very far away with great accuracy. Because of his skills, he changed the way people play the game of basketball forever.
Steph was born in 1988 in Akron, Ohio, but he grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. His father, Dell Curry, was also a professional basketball player in the NBA. Because his dad played the sport, Steph grew up around basketball courts and locker rooms. He spent many hours practicing his shot in the backyard. Even though he loved the game, some coaches thought he would never be a star. When he was a teenager, he was much thinner and shorter than many other players his age.
Steph did not let his size stop him. He knew that he had to work harder than everyone else to succeed. He went to Davidson College, which was a small school that did not have a famous basketball team. During his time there, he led his team to many surprising victories. People all across the country started to notice his incredible talent. He proved that you do not have to be the biggest person on the court to be the best player.
