The Big Backyard Race

Narrator: Three friends stand in the yard. They want to build a fast racer.
Sam: Look at this big box! It can be our race car.
Leo: We need strong wheels. I have four round wheels here.
Mia: I have red paint. We can paint a bright star on the side.
Narrator: The friends get to work. They work as a team.
Sam: Let us tape the big box. We must make it safe and strong.
Leo: I will help you tape it. Then we can add the wheels.
Mia: Now it is my turn. I will paint the car red and yellow.
Narrator: They paint and they draw. The car looks very fast.
Sam: It is ready to roll! Who will sit inside first?
Leo: Mia should go first. She made the cool star.
Mia: Thank you, friends! This is the best racer ever.
Narrator: Mia hops in the car. The big race is next.
All: Go, team, go! We built it together!
