BARNABY: Ah, the sun is so warm today. I love to lie on the grass.
BUSTER: Me too, Barnaby. My paws are warm. I do not want to run.
BELLA: Running is too much work! I just want to close my eyes and nap.
BRUNO: Look! A ball rolled near the fence. Should we go fetch it?
BARNABY: Fetch the ball? No way, Bruno. That ball is way over there.
BUSTER: It is too far to walk. Walking takes too much work.
BELLA: The grass right here is soft. The yellow sun feels like a warm blanket.
BRUNO: You are right, Bella. Getting the ball is too hard. I will stay right here.
BARNABY: Yawnnn! Who wants to play fetch when we can take a big nap?
BUSTER: Not me! I am going to stretch my legs out long. (sighs happily)
BELLA: Listen to the gentle wind in the trees. It is like a song for dogs.
BRUNO: My heavy eyes are closing. Yawnnn! The sun keeps us so cozy.
BARNABY: Look, a little bug is flying by. Should we chase it?
BUSTER: Chase a bug? That sounds like a lot of running, Barnaby!
BELLA: Yes, running makes us hot. Staying still keeps us cool.
BRUNO: The bug can fly on its own. We can just watch it with one open eye.
BARNABY: Good idea, Bruno. Watching is much easier than running.
BUSTER: We are the four sun dogs. We are the best at resting.
BELLA: That is the best job in the world. No fetching, no barking, just resting.
BRUNO: Wake me up when the sun goes down. Goodnight, my friends.
BARNABY: Goodnight, Bruno. Rest well, sweet dogs!
BUSTER: Sweet dreams in the warm sun!
BELLA: Zzzzz... what a perfect sunny day!
