Finally, the human element introduces unpredictable variables. Many injuries occur not from mechanical failure, but from collisions. Dispatchers rely on strict timing intervals to launch riders safely, ensuring the flume is clear before the next person begins the descent. If a rider slows down unexpectedly, stalls mid-tube, or overturns an inflatable raft, a trailing rider can strike them from behind at high velocity.
