This massive park covers over 250 acres of reclaimed land and looks like something straight out of a science fiction movie. It was built to help realize the nation’s dream of transforming Singapore from a "Garden City" into a "City in a Garden." Today, it is a global symbol of how humans can live in harmony with nature.
As you walk into the gardens, the first things that catch your eye are the towering Supertrees. These are not ordinary trees made of wood and bark. Instead, they are massive, tree-shaped structures made of steel and concrete, standing between 80 and 160 feet tall. There are 18 Supertrees in total, and they are actually vertical gardens. Their "trunks" are covered in more than 160,000 plants, including rare orchids, ferns, and climbing flowers.
